Royal Vic and Bull - Dartford...
...gets a visit from the mayor!

The Worshipful Mayor of Dartford, Councillor Mrs Jennifer Rickwood, today declared The Royal Victoria & Bull Hotel officially open after a major redevelopment that has created a welcoming and informal drinking and dining pub for the town’s residents, workers and shoppers.
The refurbishment of the Bull & Vic – as it is affectionately known locally – has been carried out by the pub’s owners, TCG, in conjunction with Dartford Townscape Heritage Initiative. Many of the pub’s historical features have been restored to their former glory, thereby retaining the traditional character of the building. At the same time, the introduction of new interior fittings has created a more contemporary and open feel.
General manager Danny Capitanchik said, “The Bull & Vic has been an integral part of Dartford life for centuries, and today is the start of a new era in its long and rich history. Whether you’re wanting to grab a coffee, or a quick, affordable lunch in the daytime, or chill out with friends over a bottle of wine in the evening, The Royal Victoria & Bull can offer it all. We believe it’s the pub that Dartford has been waiting for.”

A recent investment say the popular St James Tavern close for a short period of time to undergo a refurbishment. As part of this, additional seating has been added, some wierd and wonderful bric a brac and a good old lick of paint. It remains one of London's favourite pubs especially for its fish and chip and home cooked Sunday Roast. If you have not been down there in a while... pop in - you will be in for a pleasant surprise.

Ivory Lounge is going to be Sutton's latest venue offering light lunch snacks, coffees all day, tapas, wine and cocktails. Formerly Mosaic on the High Street, Ivory Lounge is scheduled to open on 17th April.
